More Temples...

Washington DC became our before and after place of sight seeing with a fabulous family reunion in North Carolina at the Outer Banks in between! Here is our family at the Washington DC Temple on Sunday July 27th. Kent and Heather (my sister and brother-in-law who live in Virginia) gave us a tour of the temple grounds, fed us yummy food, showed us maps and helped us navigate our way through DC and took us to Nielsen's Frozen Custard on our way to the airport when it was time to go home. Ben, my nephew works at Nielsen's & treated all of us to lots of yummy stuff! They also housed and fed Kimberly before and after Girl's Camp! Kimberly was able to fly to Virginia "all by herself" and spend girls camp with cousin Sarah and Aunt Heather (one of the camp leaders). We then met up with her to go to the Haggerty Family Reunion in N. Carolina. Thanks Heather and Kent for taking such great care of us!
At the end of June through early July the girls and I made a quick trip to UT to visit friends and family and play at the cabin! Here are Kimberly, Jessica, Sydney and Kenna (Brooke is asleep in the stroller) on the famous "picture pedestal" at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. I really wanted to take the girls to the Joseph Smith movie (the actor who plays Joseph is a distant Tolman cousin!) playing at the theater at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. We got there too late for the time we were hoping to see (imagine that!) and so we had some time to kill before the next showing. We got a tour of the Office Building---rode the elevator to the top for great views of the Salt Lake Valley. This brought back lots of memories as this was the place that their Dad proposed to me 16 years ago on April 3, 1992!
