At the beginning of the summer we loaded up the "double cousins" to drive the 45 miles out to the Hampton Ranch. One of Mrs. Hampton's cats had some kittens that were ready for some new homes. Here are the kids ready to go!

The girls played outside every chance they got! The only problem is the WY heat!! So, what is the answer to hot WY summer days? WATER!! Brooke & Kenna loved playing on the new slip-n-slide Kenna got for her birthday!

After seeing a momma & papa robin fly to the same nest over & over in the rafters of the front of the garage, the little girls finally drug a ladder over to see what was going on in that nest. Well...they discovered eggs, of course!! And after a while, the babies hatched. Sydney asked if she could borrow my camera, and this is what she captured:
We headed down to Casper for the Eleutian Open House/Casper Office. It was a great event. Yummy food, great teaching demos using Skype, Nichole made a beautiful cake using the Eleutian logo, and Bob Grady was there to speak! Here's Kent thanking everyone and introducing Mr. Grady...

The girls were so quiet & patient....for the first hour! Then, I had to take our little ones & Colleen & Brian's little ones outside for some running around time. They can only last so long, you know!! (Pretty cute, though, aren't they?)
After the Casper Open House, we kept driving south (and a little west) to UT. A big change was about to come over our family. Kimberly and Jessica were going to spend a week at the BYU Distance Running Camp with Erica Linford and Ivy Paris. Little did we know then just how much our girls were going to LOVE running. And it didn't stop with just Kimberly & Jessica. Sydney, Kenna and Brooke have all decided that they want to be runners as well. Well, lucky you, honey....you don't even have to talk them into it!! They're "naturals"!!
You can't see it here, but Kimberly & Jessica are so WAY excited to begin their XC Camp at BYU. Here they are getting their information packets, maps of campus and the ever-important cafeteria card!

One of the things I really love about my husband is the quality time he spends with us, even though the quantity is not at the level that ANY of us would like it to be! Kent travels A LOT with his work......he always has! So, when we have him around (in between phone calls and computer time----even on 'vacation') WE LOVE IT!! And moments like this one.......walking and talking with Kimberly, really grab my heart. I'm so thankful for a man who knows what it means to be a good Dad and for the time he takes to spend one-on-one time with each of us. Thanks Hon!!

Way to have courage and the desire to try something new and reach for something a little beyond your grasp! You are an incredible example to me......in so many ways!

The Holiday/Linford/Paris 4x400 Team and a couple of XC Buddies!! What an incredible time they had together......learning from their coaches, running with their Running Groups, spending time with lots of other LDS Runners from ALL OVER, and getting a little, tiny taste of what college life is going to be like....And yes, they want to do it again next year.
Being in UT meant spending some time at our CABIN!! We love it up there and wish we could spend more time there. One of the favorite things to do is roast marshmellows in the fire pit. Here's Kenna with a "perfect" mellow....YUMMO!
While we were in UT, we also got to spend some time at Bear Lake....twice! While K & J were at their running camp AND after, on the way back home to WY....we stopped at Bear Lake for some more fun with Grandpa! The pictures below are of both times, kinda mixed up together...

Tyler's Birthday up at the cabin! We were so excited to celebrate Tyler's 8th birthday with him and his family! We all had so much fun in Park City....Alpine Sliding, pizza dinner at the park, then back to the cabin for cake & ice cream!! Happy Birthday Tyler! Have fun being EIGHT! What a special birthday. We wish we could have made it to your baptism as well, but we are so thankful for the time we got to spend with you celebrating your life! We love you!!

Instead of celebrating our 18th Anniversary......we loaded everyone in the Suburban and drove back to our "hometown" of Broomfield, CO to attend Ginger's 20th High School Reunion. Jim & Jannet Downs graciously let us stay in their home with them which was great for our family! Thanks Jim & Jannet for your awesome hospitality!

The weekend before school started, Kimberly & Jessica attended a stake activity in Worland. Our Ten Sleep youth invited Stephanie Redland and Sawyer Lyman to go with. They had a blast!! Here's a picture to remember the fun...
