Number 9: Our Grandmas Reach 90 years old in 2010!!

Both of Kent & Ginger's maternal Grandmothers were born in 1920, which meant 90 candles on their birthday cakes in 2010! Ginger's Grandma, Anna Mae Fetters Tolman was born on May 15, 1920. Many Tolman decendants gathered in Ten Sleep to celebrate 90 amazing years! We had plans to party at the park, but the May weather didn't cooperate, so we ended up at the church.

And we always try to take a FOUR generation picture of the THIRD Daughters: Pretty amazing that all of the girls in this picture are 3rd daughters...each of them have 2 older sisters. Always a fun picture. Great-Grandma Annie Tolman, Grammy Pam Haggerty, Momma Ginger Holiday and Sydney!!


Kent's Grandma, Ella Elizabeth Smock Horst was born on September 13, 1920. Lots of Horsts and Holiday's gathered in Las Vegas where Grandma Horst is living now to be with her for her birthday celebration.

Patty helped Grandma put together pictures in sequence that told Grandma's life story. Everyone was gathered around to hear what Grandma had to say...some of us got it on video!!

All of us were able to attend Grandma's ward for Sacrament Meeting the next day. It was fast and testimony Sunday, and what a memorable meeting it was! Three siblings were confirmed that morning. It was a black family, and 2 of the children were teenagers and the third was 9 years old. Brian got up towards the end of the meeting to bear his testimony. It was powerful and so all encompassing of all of our thoughts and feelings. He really tied everything together beautifully. He spoke of missionary work and example and enduring to the end.
